Student Survey Presents…Crusader Christmas Cheer!

Student+Survey+Presents...Crusader+Christmas+Cheer%21

It’s the Holiday Season, Crusaders! Christmas Break is just around the corner and Christmas spirit can be seen throughout the halls of Cardinal Newman. For those that don’t know, there was a decorating competition recently among the four Houses (Templars, Hospitallers, Lazarus, and Jerusalem.) Similar to the Halloween decorating contest among the grade levels, each House was assigned a hallway on campus to decorate in about a week and a half. The hallways were then ranked by a panel of faculty judges. Congratulations to Jerusalem on winning the competition! For reference, here are the assigned hallways and their Houses:
Lazarus – 100s hallway

Hospitallers – 200s hallway

Templars – 300s hallway

Jerusalem – 400s hallway

For this month’s Student Survey, we decided to do something similar to our first edition, in which we found out what the three most popular TVs shows were among the Cardinal Newman student body. Rather than featuring individual answers, we will be making another top three ranking. In light of the Christmas Season, our December Student Survey Question was: “What is your favorite Christmas movie?”

Here are the top three responses!

1. HomeAlone (38votes)

2. Elf (36votes)

3. The Grinch (25votes)

Some other popular responses include The Polar Express (17 votes), Die Hard, with controversy, (11 votes), and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (6 votes). Some less popular responses we received were The Nightmare Before Christmas (4 votes), Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (4 votes), Love, Actually (3 votes), The Christmas Prince (2 votes), and The Santa Clause Trilogy (2 votes). I really enjoyed making this Student Survey and am grateful for your participation. Your support is what motivates me to publish more Surveys, as they are meant for everyone at Newman before myself. I hope you and your families have a very merry Christmas.

Oh, and by the way, in true Newman fashion, Shrek was a response, voted for by three people.
Merry Christmas!
