During the fall season, pumpkin spice flavored foods and drinks are fan favorites. But there are so many different varieties of these treats out there, that it is hard to know which ones are truly delicious as well as worth their price. To help find at least one decidedly delicious fall treat, I tested three different pumpkin spice treats to determine which one was liked most of all and actually worth the money. The three treats included Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Chocolates for $8.29 at Whole Foods, Pepperidge Farm Milano Pumpkin Spice Cookies for $4.59 at CVS, and Tate’s Pumpkin Spiced Cookies for $4.99 at Whole Foods. Three questions were asked of those who tested these festive treats: 1) Would you buy this treat yourself; 2) How would you rate the general flavor keeping the pumpkin spice in mind; and 3) Is this product worth its price. Participants first tried the Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Chocolates. Half of the participants said they would buy this treat themselves, and the other half said they would not. The lowest rating it received was a 5/10, and the highest was a 10/10, averaging a 6.5/10. Only one participant said it was worth the price. Personally, I was not a fan of this product. The chocolate itself was not bad, but the pumpkin spice filling was sickeningly sweet and tasted more like possibly-expired marshmallow filling than pumpkin spice. My personal rating was a 5/10, and I do not think this was worth the price nor would I buy it for myself. The second product rated was Pepperidge Farm Milano Pumpkin Spice Cookies. Again, the answers as to whether or not a person would buy this for herself or himself was split evenly. The average rating was a 6.3/10, with the lowest rating at a 5/10 and the highest at a 7/10. All participants agreed that these cookies were worth their price. In my opinion, these treats tasted like regular Milano cookies, so I could only rate them a 6.5/10, and, while I would not buy these treats for myself, I do think they are worth their price. The last treat tested was Tate’s Pumpkin Spiced Cookies. Every participant agreed that they would buy these cookies again and that they were well worth their price. The lowest rating it received was an 8/10, and the highest was a 10/10, averaging at a 9.4/10! I personally loved the taste of these cookies though I wished they were a little less sweet with a bit more spice, so my rating was an 8/10. In conclusion, the next time you stop by the grocery store and are interested in a fall pumpkin spiced seasonal treat, grab the Tate’s Pumpkin Spiced Cookies! You won’t be disappointed!
