Hey Crusaders! Hope you’re all having an amazing Christmas season and welcome back to the Cardinal Newman newspaper. This week, to celebrate the season of giving Cardinal Newman had their annual Christmas toy drive. Starting November 29 and ending December 10, the toy drive brought in many donations across the school. To support this event, students and faculty were asked to bring in as many toys as they were able, and drop them off at the boxes either in their home rooms, or religion classrooms. These toys will soon be delivered to the Holy Cross pre-school. The gifts will be given to kids from age 5 all the way up to age 12, to help make their Christmas a bit more merry. This service opportunity allows the students at Cardinal Newman to live out one of Saint Nicholas’ beliefs, that “The giver of every good and perfect gift has called upon us to mimic God’s giving, by grace, through faith, and this is not of ourselves.” Merry Christmas Crusaders!
