The Cardinal Newman Crusaders have been very excited for the long awaited 2021 football season! 

Head football coach, Jack Daniels, has been working very hard with the Crusader football team since the summertime. Jack Daniels, the former football coach at Dwyer High School, has a very good reputation with over 234 winning games and 2 state championships. Daniels has coached numerous NFL football players and is very excited to be at Cardinal Newman. With athletes that are ranked nationally, Cardinal Newman’s chances of making it to the playoffs are quite high. Davi Belfort, the star quarterback, has recently joined Cardinal Newman this year as a freshman. Davi is ranked number 2 in the nation for the class of 2025, making him a great asset to the team. Belfort has already received offers from Arizona State University, University of Miami, University of Alabama, and more. Tovani Mizell, a junior originally from Stranahan High School, has transferred to Newman because of Daniels. So far, the Crusaders have been putting up a good fight with a big win over King’s Academy, 55-0.
