Healthy Dining Options Around Newman

Most people claim that their main reason for being overweight is caused by unhealthy restaurants. I love trying new places to eat while seeking out the healthiest ones to go to.

There are plenty of places around the Cardinal Newman area for great food choices including 3 Natives, Bolay, Raw Juice, and Chick-fil-A. There are plenty of other places that have healthy options as well.

In my opinion, no restaurant is better than Bolay. In just one bowl, you can get all of your daily needs: carbs, fats, and proteins.

Bolay is like Chipotle but even healthier! Bolay has several locations near Cardinal Newman, including one off Northlake, and Okeechobee.

They are also planning to open a Bolay soon off of Indiantown road and possibly on Donald Ross in Jupiter.

Raw Juice and 3 Natives also fall into the same category of healthy eating. Whether you like to eat healthy, or just want an açaí bowl to take a Snapchat of, both of these places are delicious.

Most people go there for the bowls and smoothies. Most of their smoothies are perfect if you are on a ketogenic (no carb) diet.

At 3 Natives, my favorite menu item would be the “Chuck Norris” which consists of banana, strawberry, peanut butter and protein. At Raw Juice, I would recommend the “Hercules” which contains blueberry, banana, spinach, cashew milk, almond milk, coconut water, protein, almond butter, chopped almonds and raw honey.

Lastly, everyone’s favorite, Chick-fil-A; You are not a Newman student if you have not been to Chick-fil-A.

Next time you go, stay away from their signature Chick-fil-A sauce. That tiny sauce contains 140 calories and 13 grams of fat. The more healthy menu items would include the grilled nuggets or any grilled sandwich or salad. If you are dying for some waffle fries, remember that they contain 460 calories, 24 grams of fat and 56 grams of carbs.

Whether you are looking to lose weight, watching your diet, or simply looking for a place to dine, there are plenty of options around Cardinal Newman.
